Libyan Embassy Attack: A Case of Classic "Blowback" from Interventionist Foreign Policy

In this video commentary from a regional Fox station below the journalist proves very well that the tragic attack and killing of the U.S. Embassy Ambassador in Libya is a classic case of what the CIA calls "blow-back" (i.e. unintended consequences of foreign interventions).  It could also be called the short-sightedness of an interventionist foreign policy.

In other words, the vehement protests and even more serious and deadly attacks being televised by all news agencies are the direct result of bad short term thinking and foreign policy decisions--i.e. meddling in the Middle East, picking winners and losers, in attempt to further "democracy" by revolutions, propping up Arab Spring uprisings and recently overthrowing Gaddafi in Libya in particular by the U.S. and NATO.

Please note as well, that as during Arab Spring, and sanctions and threatenings against Iran by the U.S. and Israel, tumult in the Middle East (now in the embassy protests and attack) always directly increases oil prices (as traded in the markets, see live chart in upper corner of blog), immediately increasing the gas and fuel prices for all Americans, which immediately causes inflation on all consumers goods.  So yes, foreign policy again directly impacts our domestic tranquility, and lack of it, through its indirect impact upon the economy.  It is a law and maxim that what goes around, indeed, comes back around.  When will Americans learn this connection collectively and demand a change from interventionist foreign policy, particularly in regard to the Middle East?  It is impossible to separate Economic Issues from those of Foreign Policy and "Defense Spending" (as both Obama and Romney as presidential candidates do) as sure as it is to ignore it in regard to the National Debt as well.  (See our earlier articles about Middle East foreign policy and oil prices).

It's time to stop government spending of tax payer's money (increasing the National Debt) on what is called "foreign aid" (as if it's done out of charity instead of manipulation) to all foreign countries (yes, including Israel too) or propping up foreign governments, or helping to destroy others through 'Defense' Spending.  Please note that Al Qaeda began as a CIA supported network to fight the Soviets in Afghanistan!  It's also time for both republicans and democrats to see how tumultuous "democracy" really is in its raw militant form (i.e. mob law), and reject it as a utopian political model, as both James Madison and philosophers as far back as Plato (see quote from Plato's Republic in margin of blog), warned about.  (Hint:  A Muslim form of Democracy is now forming in the Middle East.  How do you like it now?)  There are no checks and balances (as with a Republic) in pure Democracies, which always depend upon coercion and violence to "liberate" some while enslaving others, whether by the majority or the militant minority.  The result is the typical factions we see in the Middle East forming and the violent consequences of such power-struggles.

Obama's Liberal Drone Wars: The Real Reason Behind U.S. Embassy Protests, Attacks?

As this article puts it:

What's behind anti-US protests in Yemen?

One thing seems clear: it probably isn't a YouTube video that has protestors in Yemen so angry....Frustration with the US has been building up for some time now, and probably has very little to do with the film controversy. They're incredibly angry with the US over civilian deaths in drone strikes and how the State Department handled the uprising, supporting a settlement that granted former president Ali Abdullah Saleh immunity from prosecution.

This video from Newsy puts the Obama administration's drone strikes in perspective, even as compared to those of former President Bush.

Bush Wants Bin Laden Dead or Alive --Again!

Get Osama Bin Laden before I leave office, orders George W Bush

President George W Bush has enlisted British special forces in a final attempt to capture Osama Bin Laden before he leaves the White House.

Defence and intelligence sources in Washington and London confirmed that a renewed hunt was on for the leader of the September 11 attacks. “If he [Bush] can say he has killed Saddam Hussein and captured Bin Laden, he can claim to have left the world a safer place,” said a US intelligence source.

The Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment have been taking part in the US-led operations to capture Bin Laden in the wild frontier region of northern Pakistan. It is the first time they have operated across the Afghan border on a regular basis.

The hunt was “completely sanctioned” by the Pakistani government, according to a UK special forces source. It involves the use of Predator and Reaper unmanned aerial vehicles

Right! Too bad bin Laden already died in Dec. 2001, which is why Bush suddenly lost interest saying essentially, "I'm really not that concerned about one man", and the CIA closed down its Bin Laden unit.

Possible scenario: use UK Special Ops and UAV drones and fire a missile at a safe house near the Paki border, then claim to have killed Bin Laden--great propaganda! Especially if done before Sept. 11, 2008.

It s all a lie, and Bush knows it, which is why he has been caught contradicting himself many times. Or, just ask the neocon contractors (like SITE which feeds the MSM, e.g. ABC's Brian Ross exclusives), let them track the websites of the bin Laden videos that keeping popping up before elections! Surely the $40 billion U.S. Intelligence apparatus could find the source of those videos (instead of employing private contractors), if they wanted.

And note this: The FBI also does not list 9/11 on Bin Laden s "most wanted" poster, and they say "there is no hard evidence connecting bin Laden to 9/11 ."

OTHER SOURCES HAVE REPORTED BIN LADEN'S DEATH, SEVERAL TIMES

Consider these major sources which have reported the death of bin Laden:

Bush on Bin Laden (video), "if he's alive at all", "not that concerned".

FOX report Dec. 2001 (they reported it, you decide) here

CNN 2002 report here

International media sources and great analysis about funeral here

2006 BBC report on death of bin Laden

Latest report, Feb. 2008, World Tribune here, which states this:
"Bin Laden may be dead, but living on through old sound bites...U.S. intelligence agencies are beginning to suspect that Al Qaida leader Osama Bin Laden is dead after all, despite a recent audio tape".

Yes, we know about the "living on through old sound bites"--put out by neocon contractors
as propaganda to perpetuate the "war on terrorism", usually coincidental with elections or key legislation. These are just a few sources.

The contradictory reports from the administration coincidental with media and intelligence sources demonstrate the strongest of probabilities (and examining the funeral site, per Egyptian press, would be simple enough) that bin Laden is already dead. That he was the "mastermind of 9/11"--while bin Laden publicly denied having any involvement in (while the administration claimed he "boasted"; CNN source here, Pakistani source here), and pointed to Israeli elements in the U.S.--is an unsubstantiated allegation (and he was a CIA asset, Al Qaeda being a CIA covert op to repel Russia from Afghanistan), and even U.S. propaganda has pinned that title on another patsy now being held in Guantanamo.

It is impossible with this evidence to believe that Americans have been told the truth about either 9/11 or bin Laden's involvement in that "catalyzing event".

Bin Laden to Address America, "Stay Tuned" Says Neocon Propaganda Front

SITE is a neocon propaganda front. (See our article "Cross examining 'terrorism experts'"). If you or I posted any messages or videos the government would find you in a New York minute. Not so with the (convenient) phantom bin Laden (who has been dead since Dec. 2001 in truth). Remember, contrary to Bush government lies, from neocon "video" sources like this, bin Laden publicly denied any involvement in 9/11.

Really, if SITE has tapped into a genuine Al Qaeda or terrorist message board, then

1) why can't the U.S. spy agencies ($40 billion-plus in expenditures) not trace to its source, and

2) why does the CIA or National Intel director never report this officially, instead of a (private, neocon-linked) extra-governmental agency, and

3) why does it always (without government censorship) make MSM news coverage?

THINK! I challenge those who believe this typical propaganda to answer these three questions.

Bin Laden to release new message: monitor

Photo

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is expected to release a new message within the next two days, the U.S.-based terrorism monitoring service SITE Institute said on Wednesday.

The message is entitled, "The Response Will Be What You See, Not What You Hear," SITE said in a release.

The message is likely to be posted by Thursday or Friday at the latest, SITE senior analyst Adam Raisman said. He based his judgment on past practice and announcement language describing the message's posting as "urgent," "shortly" and "Allah willing."

He said the announcement did not carry the usual banner but rather was made in plain text. Based on recent practice, Raisman said he expects the upcoming message to include an audio track illustrated with an image.

The message apparently is the first by bin Laden since November 29 when he urged European countries to end military participation with U.S. forces in the Afghan conflict.

McCain Fumbles on Iran-Al Qaeda Propaganda

What he said was entirely implausible, so Joe Lieberman (I-Israel) corrected him in order to get the official propaganda straight. (Rumor has it Lieberman is on his short list for VP, which would be quite a plan for succession for the neoconservatives to continue the war for "a new middle east").

You know...it's all the same to the dull, thick-headed American public...Al Qaeda, terrorists, extremists....just repeat those words enough and pretend you know what you re talking about. Just paint your propaganda in broad strokes John, it s all the same lies anyway. War on terrorism , jihadists , extremists, Iran evil, Israel good, blah, blah, blah.

McCain just proved he is not "straight talking" and is not even keeping the cover story for war with Iran straight.

The misstep in question occurred during a news conference in Jordan earlier Tuesday, when the presumptive Republican presidential nominee repeatedly said Iran was supplying al Qaeda. Iran is predominately a Shiite country and is not aiding the Sunni dominated Al-Qaeda.

McCain ultimately corrected himself after Sen. Joe Lieberman whispered in his ear.

"I'm sorry, the Iranians are training extremists, not al Qaeda. I am sorry," the Arizona senator said.

The DNC later sent out a transcript of McCain's interview Monday with conservative Hugh Hewitt, during which he appeared to make the same mistake.

"As you know, there are al Qaeda operatives that are taken back into Iran, given training as leaders, and they’re moving back into Iraq," he told Hewitt.

McCain misspoke during a press conference in Jordan Tuesday.

Sibbel Edmonds Uncovers U.S. Covert Nuke Proliferation

This highly credible FBI translator blows the whistle and points to just who is behind nuclear proliferation of "radical Islamists"...yes, the U.S. government, covertly of course. Meanwhile most Americans remain ignorant that the CIA with Paki ISI formed what they later claimed was Al Qaeda.
Pakistan's Bomb, U.S. Cover-up
On Jan. 20, the London Sunday Times published an article that followed up on earlier damning allegations from former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds, who accused the Bush administration of covering up sensitive documents suggesting high-level U.S. complicity in Pakistan’s nuclear program.
For the second time in two weeks, the entire U.S. press has let itself be scooped by Rupert Murdoch's London Sunday Times on a dynamite story of criminal activities by corrupt U.S. officials promoting nuclear proliferation.

For the last two weeks -- one could say, for years -- the major American media have been guilty of ignoring entirely the allegations of the courageous and highly credible source Sibel Edmonds, quoted in the London Times on Jan. 6, 2008, in a front-page story that was front-page news in much of the rest of the world but was not reported in a single American newspaper or network.

Unraveling the Myth of Al Qaida (Al CIA-duh)

Truth (and fiction) of Al Qaeda fully disclosed!

Note the CIA, the Saudis and Paki ISI enabled this militant group from start, and bin Laden's involvement was as a CIA asset to coordinate the Islamist resistance freedom fighters of Afghanistan against the Soviets.

Al Qaeda is in essence fiction, translated meaning "base" after a database of volunteers equipped and trained covertly by the CIA and ISI.

Note how Pakistan, thus Musharraf, is highly involved in this work of "fiction", as this NATO Colonel charged.

This is also why bin Laden's published denial of involvement or knowledge of 9/11, prior to his death, was published in a Karachi Pakistan newspaper (picked up by BBC Monitoring service) but censored by U.S. media, except CNN (note the duplicity of U.S. media, serving Zionist and neoconservative interests in self-censorship of this denial on Sept. 28, 2001).

Unraveling the Myth of Al Qaida

The story of bin Laden is the story of the secret CIA/ISI insurgent camps in Pakistan and Afghanistan. According to Prof. Michel Chossudovsky, Osama was 22 years old in 1979, when he was trained in a CIA sponsored guerilla training camp near Peshawar, Pakistan.

"Bin Laden family was put in charge of raising money for the Islamic brigades. Numerous charities and foundations were created. The operation was coordinated by Saudi intelligence, headed by Prince Turki al-Faisal, in close liaison with the CIA.
Al Qaeda, the base in Arabic was a data bank of volunteers who had enlisted to fight in the Afghan jihad. That data base was initially held by Osama bin Laden."
"The database of Islamic fighters that was collected by the program was labeled n Arabic, 'Q eidat ilmu'ti'aat', which is the exact translation of the English word database. But the Arabs commonly used the short word 'Al Qaida" which is the Arabic word for 'base.'"
