Syria and WMDs, The Iraq Parallel

This excellent interview with someone who knows what he's talking about and who helped Colin Powell make the "case" for Iraq before the U.N..  Congress should carefully consider his experienced viewpoint instead of listening to AIPAC, the neoconservatives, and "the McCainiacs" (see previous article by Pat Buchanan) who support it for the sake of the aggressive "new middle east" Israeli agenda.

Note his healthy scepticism as a U.S. military official during the Bush administration about the "intelligence" of precisely who used the alleged chemical weapons which is more in line with Putin than Obama, and who just called Secretary Kerry a liar! 

Remember the intelligence from "curveball" that claimed that Saddam Hussein was obtaining "enriched uranium" from Nigeria to justify action into Iraq.

Congress should also listen more to the vast majority of the American people who oppose a strike on Syria.  Yes, that especially includes Rep. Shelly Moore Capito who is inclined to support wars for AIPAC and seldom listens to war dissent from West Virginians.  (Sen. Manchin has the same tendency until its popular to withdraw).  Surprisingly, she has been reluctant thus far to support the Syrian strike, saying

“I’ve been in Congress for a long enough time to know that, just because the intelligence says it’s so on first blush, I’m not sure we’re all going to accept that without the deep detail that I think we need to have and that the President should bring to Congress,” she said.

It all hinges on the pretended "intelligence".  And also which party presents it, unfortunately.  But is that still enough reason to support American military conflict in another Middle East conflict that does not threaten Americans?  Another Middle East engagement will certainly hurt our economy and deficit spending as oil prices will rise again and Congress will spend billions more.

Why Chuck Hagel Will Be a Great Secretary of 'Defense'

Former Senator Chuck Hagel will bring a fresh and necessary perspective to the office of Secretary of Defense for which he was confirmed today.  Contrary to recent sound bites in especially the conservative Establishment, where he was grilled by AIPAC-owned Senators, this video shows the real Chuck Hagel taking his Senate Foreign Relations colleagues to task during the Iraq "surge" policy being implemented by the Bush administration.  As a republican he dared to challenge directly the typical politically-correct (but superficial) propaganda that criticized any dissent from Bush foreign policy, which ironically was continued under Obama.  Democrats could compare him to the late Sen. Robert Byrd who led dissent about Iraq among democrats when it was politically-incorrect too.

Watch this and see for yourself.  This is what courage and virtue looks like in the politically-charged mudslinging of Washington and Congress.  Hagel is unafraid and very much concerned about the deployment of the men and women in the military who have no voice or advocate normally to defend their lives and interests when the passion to start or expand wars begins.  He chastises his Senate colleagues with authority and demands they consider what is really at stake and whether the comprehensive strategy is even sound during a time where propaganda and personal attacks are tossed about to intimidate and force a false patriotic "unity" behind a flawed but popular war policy that others are too afraid to challenge.

If this does not demonstrate his sound judgment and soberness of mind when making war decisions versus the neoconservative and AIPAC-funded political attacks against his nomination for Secretary of Defense recently then I am speechless.  This decorated veteran and astute Senator and statesman is fully qualified and greatly needed to check and restrain the hasty and easily influenced U.S. foreign policy that we have witnessed for over a decade now.  Neither will he be a lap dog republican for Obama, but will likely restrain any more actions of this President to rush into further Middle East involvement (e.g. Libya, regime change, nation building) without sober objections, especially if they involve U.S. troops.

It is supposed to be a Department of Defense, not a Department of Offense, after all.  Four courageous and thoughtful republicans supported his nomination, from the South and Midwest, including Tea Party favorite Sen. Rand Paul (see link above), who also advocates (along with Sen. Joe Manchin) auditing the Pentagon to uncover its mysterious wasting and loss of billions of dollars (see previous posts), which has been no small contributor to the fiscal debt problem.

The Price Americans Are Paying at the Pump for Iran Sanctions

This is a quick follow up per our previous article about U.S. and Israel Middle East foreign policy driving high gas prices.   If you look at the gas price chart in that article you will see the steady rise in gas prices since Congress (i.e. both parties, as well as Obama) authorized AIPAC's plan of economic sanctions on Iran (which began in the last half of 2011).

The Christian Science Monitor recently posted this article just over a week ago providing more evidence that supports our article, citing experts, and also explaining those sanctions.  Are you sure you want Congress to impose those sanctions now?  Are you willing to bear the economic consequences of sanctions imposed due to pure propaganda and fear-mongering by the Israeli lobby (just as the neoconservatives did to sell you the Iraq war), when Iran has no nuclear weapons capability any more than Saddam Hussein did?  There is economic "blow-back" to all Americans due to this, and surely more to follow.  Think about it and let Congress know what you think!

More 'Economic Sanctions' or War With Iran? Sen. Rand Paul Calls Out Congress

What's driving up gas prices, everyone asks?  The very real 'fear premium' (a fear of potentially restricted supply due to regional tensions) on oil that investors/speculators include in trading in the oil market.  It is therefore impossible to divorce Foreign Policy from America's Economy and National Debt.  (This was acknowledged briefly by the oil expert interviewed last week by Hoppy Kercheval on Talkline).  Yet seldom do politicians, or talk radio hosts, address such things together.

More economic sanctions on Iran is a clever way of walking (by the lobbyists' manipulation) the U.S. toward war and drives up the 'fear premium' about supply in the oil trading markets.  Limited Government (Tea Party) type people like Sen. Rand Paul understand how aggressive foreign policy in the Middle East not only endangers a casual, unconstitutional attitude toward war (particularly undeclared wars by the Executive Branch, by both Bush and Obama) but also has economic consequences for all Americans. In other words, there will and is already economic "blow-back" on Americans of economic sanctions on Iran!  Ironic, isn't it?

Remember, it was sanctions on Iraq that began that war.  Sanctions are economic warfare and an economic precursor to it.  AIPAC (the Israeli lobby, the most powerful in Washington) as well as Israeli PM Netanyahu, and a lot of false religious propaganda (i.e. Christian Zionism theology, prophecy) used to support the secular (not Biblical) state of Israel, is pushing American foreign policy with Iran.  The majority of Americans by far now know that Iraq was (at least) a "mistake" and want us out of Afghanistan now and out of the "nation building" (read "regime change") business altogether.  Yet under Obama we have proceeded, without Congressional approval or declarations of war, to use military campaigns in Libya for regime change while Syria and Iran are now entering the cross-hairs (and have been since the neoconservatives in the Bush administration used 9/11 as their pretense).

Tell Senators Rockefeller and Manchin, as well as Reps. Capito, Rahall, and McKinley to listen to you instead of AIPAC.  Economic sanctions on Iran are directly, already, increasing our gas prices and the price of all consumer goods will soon follow by consequence.  After all, do AIPAC and Israel care about the U.S. economic consequences of higher oil and gas prices from increased Middle East tension and wars?  No, not one bit.  And the elite in Washington that vote for sanctions do not feel the economic consequences like you and I do.  So make Congress listen to you instead.  Or, do nothing but don't complain about high gas prices or when groceries and consumer goods go up again as they did already during the Iraq campaign. When will everyone wake up to this!  Why not tell them what you think now instead of complaining about even higher gas and grocery prices later?

Listen to Sen. Rand Paul's objection on the floor (video below) and read about his reasonably offered amendment to the Sanctions bill which was intended to be a wake up call to Congress to think about the careless path they are being pushed into and complying too readily with.  What an excellent and persuasive speech!

The Truth About Iran's Nuclear Weapons Program and Their "Threat to Israel"

Let us begin this subject and take an objective look at the issue of Iran developing nuclear technology, and allegedly nuclear weapons, and particularly its politicization by the propagandists, the media and also as a subject in the recent Republican Primary debates.  It will not be difficult to prove that this is an issue that has been pushed by powerful groups to the front of political controversy, incessantly, for over four years now.  Since it is now absolutely clear to unbias and rational minds that the alleged "WMD threat" in Iraq was a deliberate fraud, sold by the neoconservative Bush administration and Israeli Lobby, but also propagated, parroted and fanned by (the apparently very bias) American media (including all major networks and Washington Post in particular) it behooves Americans to fact-check what today is being forced upon us about Iran as if we do not have the duty or capacity to think critically about what we hear.

Let us resolve not to let the White House, media, or special political interest groups (under the auspices of "intelligence agencies") talk us into another $1 Trillion dollar war against only a propagandized and rhetorical threat, to fulfill a neoconservative agenda in the Middle East (for Israel), especially during a time of financial and government-fiscal crisis (which by the way also sparked the steady increase in oil and gas prices, which led to unbounded inflation of food and consumer prices too). 

CHALLENGING THE PROPAGANDA ABOUT IRAN IS POLITICALLY-INCORRECT

Wherever there is the power of political-correctness (a pretended majority opinion generated through media perceptions) there is a social tyranny.  Objective truth based upon hard evidence and sober thinking is the enemy of Political Correctness and also of the easily manipulated multitudes in our entertainment-driven and shallow society that wants the packaged intellectual food of McNews for its diet.  (Americans are not only obese physically but have a bad intellectual diet as well.  Read the ingredients of either before buying or swallowing!).

Suddenly the struggle to stop Iran is not about saving Israel from nuclear annihilation. After a decade of scare-mongering about the second coming of Nazi Germany, the Iran hawks are admitting that they have other reasons for wanting to take out Iran, and saving Israeli lives may not be one of them. Suddenly the neoconservatives have discovered the concept of truth-telling, although, no doubt, the shift will be ephemeral.

The shift in the rationale for war was kicked off this week when Danielle Pletka, head of the American Enterprise Institute's (AEI) foreign policy shop and one of the most prominent neoconservatives in Washington, explained what the current obsession with Iran's nuclear program is all about.

The biggest problem for the United States is not Iran getting a nuclear weapon and testing it, it's Iran getting a nuclear weapon and not using it. Because the second that they have one and they don't do anything bad, all of the naysayers are going to come back and say, "See, we told you Iran is a responsible power. We told you Iran wasn't getting nuclear weapons in order to use them immediately." ... And they will eventually define Iran with nuclear weapons as not a problem.

Hold on. The "biggest problem" with Iran getting a nuclear weapon is not that Iranians will use it but that they won't use it and that they might behave like a "responsible power"? But what about the hysteria about a second Holocaust? What about Prime Minister Netanyahu's assertion that this is 1938 and Hitler is on the march? What about all of these pronouncements that Iran must be prevented from developing a nuclear weapons because the apocalyptic mullahs would happily commit national suicide in order to destroy Israel? And what about AIPAC and its satellites, which produce one sanctions bill after another (all dutifully passed by Congress) because of the "existential threat" that Iran poses to Israel? Did Pletka lose her talking points?
Apparently not.

Pletka's "never mind" about the imminent danger of an Iranian bomb seems to be the new line from the bastion of neoconservativism.  

Against Israel's War on Gaza: The Censored Christian View

This short video from Rev. Ted Pike of National Prayer Network (who also lobbies against Hate Crime laws) presents an alternative and more historically correct Christian view of Israel, the Jews, and the recent Israeli war with Gaza and Hamas, from a standpoint consistent with the teachings of the Bible. Needless to say you will not hear this view from Michael Agnello on 58Live Talk Radio in Charleston, nor from John Hagee of Christians United for Israel (CUFI; see Bill Moyer's Journal on it's powerful influence on Congress), nor from nominal Christian politicians including George W. Bush or Barack Obama (whose Chief of Staff is Rahm Israel Emanuel). Nevertheless this is the more historically held Christian view, with some slight variations. (This is not necessarily an endorsement of all of Ted Pike's theology or political views).

Unfortunately, this historically held view was been drowned out and overcome by the infiltration of the early 20th century novel teaching of Christian Zionism which was largely started by Cyrus Scofield (and his new Bible) at Dallas Theological Seminary and promoted in the political agenda of the late "religious right", whose most formidable leaders (Jerry Falwell and D. James Kennedy) have died during the last two years.

Professing Christians and churches in particular should review this presentation and reconsider their position on modern Israel, including its re-establishment and subsequent wars. Many claim that "Christians must support Israel" (confusing the historic biblical nation with the modern secular state) and say incessantly in defense of Israel that "the Jews are God's chosen people" and quote verses (out of context) that say "pray for the peace of Jerusalem" as if this alone is the scriptural basis for unqualified, absolute, and even a "divine right" of Israel to exist, and even for them to make war upon whatever pretext, frequently branding Palestinians and all Arab nations in total as "terrorists". This is the view that the neoconservative "war party" (many of whom are Jewish) and the powerful AIPAC Lobby do not want political Christians to believe, because it threatens their propaganda which has been so effective in creating a new perpetual "war on terrorism" (justified by 9/11) largely centering on the middle east which coincidentally fits so well with the agenda for a "Greater Israel".

By the way, this historic Christian view is virtually consistent with Orthodox Jews who also oppose Zionism and the State of Israel on similar religious grounds, whose public protests against Israel's war and blockade of Gaza never seem to make the mainstream news no matter their numbers! (The same also met with President Ahmadinejad of Iran, whom neocon propagandists describe as "Hitler").

After seeing this video it will become apparent that the superficially based belief of Christian Zionism and unqualified support for the modern state of Israel is in contradiction with both Scripture and reason if one is intellectually honest and has a high view of the Bible's authority.

Watch this video from CNN to see the type of arms being used against Gaza. Several times in this video a type of cluster or anti-personnel bomb (Daisycutter?) is seen exploding projectiles downward upon the city, and in a very wide spread fashion.

Netanyahu Rushes for Power in Israel, Before Bush's Term is Up

"Hurry the elections", cries "Bibi"--he wants into power NOW. The Likud Party is linked directly to the neoconservatives in America who are the authors of the "war on terrorism" agenda that was devised BEFORE 9/11. Netanyahu (who is close friends with Larry Silverstein, the WTC leaseholder, and said 9/11 was good for Israel) wants power before the change of President in the U.S. in order to start war with Iran, to continue the neocon agenda beyond the Bush administration's term.

Bolton: Israel Will Attack Iran before Inauguration

This neocon with close ties to Israel speaks openly...for Israel. After the election, before inauguration he asserts is their window of opportunity. This would force the next President's hand to control US foreign and war policy beyond the Bush regime. Israel knows how to control the US government and with the neoconservatives in the Pentagon, not just the administration, this is easily done.

Unlike the U.S. and Israel, Iran has never attacked or invaded another country. Only Israel is a credible nuclear threat, and it is they who will spark the war. The U.S. should back off and not get involved. Khan Nuclear Smuggling Network Had Ties to Pentagon & "Israeli Elements"(Updated)

A NUCLEAR SECURITY THREAT, BUT INVOLVING WHO?

This is what made the front page of Drudge in red on Sunday and this below is what the Washington Post article does not tell you about the Khan nuclear smuggling network.



First, notice the above article stated the Swiss destroyed the "computer contents". Put more properly, and per this International Herald Tribune article, what the Swiss actually destroyed was the only EVIDENCE! Why? Who wanted to destroy such important evidence? The article makes it clear:

"...the files were secretly ordered destroyed by the government last year after pressure from the United States, which was concerned that its efforts to clamp down on nuclear smuggling might be compromised."

Just WHO in the U.S. government would pressure and want this electronic evidence destroyed (for "security reasons"--who's security?), that only leaves now bare allegation as to the contents, and the path of electronic file transfer, and the source of the original, which could identify the parties involved? The Washington Post did not bother to tell you this, from IHT did they? Keep reading.

Now note the information below is largely based upon the credible and proven testimony of former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds, who had also met with the Senate Judiciary committee, until the investigation was stopped through pressure from somewhere in the Bush administration. The indictment and conviction of Larry Franklin caught spying for Israel (via Doug Feith's office in the Pentagon, to AIPAC), demonstrates the veracity of her reports:

A nuclear proliferation network operating in the US penetrates the Pentagon and related institutions, according to FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds.

Edmonds will later leave the FBI and say she knows this based on telephone conversations she translated as a part of an FBI investigation. The network, which is run by Pakistani scientist A. Q. Khan, but also includes Turkish and Israeli elements, is allegedly helped by a number of senior officials in the Pentagon. Edmonds will later say: “The [senior officials] provided lists of potential moles from Pentagon-related institutions who had access to databases concerning this information. The handlers, who were part of the diplomatic community, would then try to recruit those people to become moles for the network. The lists contained all their ‘hooking points,’ which could be financial or sexual pressure points, their exact job in the Pentagon and what stuff they had access to.” One of the Pentagon figures that is a target of the FBI investigation is Larry Franklin, an analyst who will be jailed in 2006 for passing US defence information to lobbyists and sharing classified information with an Israeli diplomat. Obama speaks to his most powerful "constituents" (actually unregistered agents of a foreign government)--The Lobby. Parroting the propaganda he refers to Iran as a "regime" and a "grave threat" in the neoconservative nomenclature. Gas prices will certainly continue to rise on this speech, as his words demonstrate NO CHANGE in entangling alliances with Israel, bowing to the Lobby, and continuing the neocon agenda, at least at first glance. Oil futures will continue to climb on war fears as this middle east policy based upon nothing but propaganda about Iran continues. He may say "diplomacy" but they can make him go to war, and will, through stealth provocations or false-flag events--"like a new Pearl Harbor" or another Gulf of Tonkin fabrication.

It is interesting the MSM in this article attempts to pin certain words and meanings to his words, as if to "eliminate" Iran itself. The word "everything" appears to mean including war and this article seems to try to get him to sign the Zionist contract with AIPAC by his own words. Are they reporting or influencing? He does say this toward the end, "If it is in the interest of the United States" --maybe it is a hint of subtle resistance to the most powerful Lobby to which most of Washington bows.

It pursues a nuclear capability that could spark a dangerous arms race," he told AIPAC's annual meeting in Washington.

Iraq Officials Counter US Claims of Iran Arming Militants

First the neocon propaganda about Iran possessing a nuclear weapons program was refuted by the latest NIE report (which actually Cheney got revised to say that they used to, after a year's work of gerrymandering it).

Now the latest propaganda (as Pat Buchanan exposed, in our article below), parroted by Patreus in Congress recently, is that Iran is arming extremists in Iraq (which John McCain mistakenly said was Al Qaeda, until Lieberman corrected the official propaganda for him), is being challenged by the newly installed and "free" (puppet) Iraqi government, using three words: "No conclusive evidence".

To paraphrase, the Iraqi official statements in this story are rather blunt, if you read it all, and could be summarized like this:

"Do not push us into conflict with Iran just because "some parties" (i.e. the US neocons and Israel) want a war. We are neighbors and sovereign countries. It is between us. Back off the propaganda--and butt out!"

Asked about reports that some rockets made in 2007 or 2008 and seized in raids against militias were directly supplied by Iran, al-Dabbagh replied: "There is no conclusive evidence." The U.S. accuses Iran of financing and training Shiite militants in Iraq and of funneling lethal weapons into the country. Iranian officials have denied the allegations. "We are fed up with past tensions that we have paid a costly price for because some parties have pushed Iraq (in the past) to take an aggressive attitude to Iran."

This is now about a month old, but bears posting since it was mentioned recently on 58 Live talk radio in passing by Rick Johnson in an interview about 9/11, Israel, and the Iraq war. Note that it "included information on nuclear weaponry" in the arrest of Ben-Ami Kadish, a Jewish American who holds dual citizenry to Israel as well. Now isn't this the same type of information we are constantly told "could get into the hands of terrorists"?.

This American's loyalty was obviously to Israel (read the story), not the U.S.. Many of the neoconservatives are Jewish dual-citizens and radical Zionists similarly, which should put the subject of dual citizenship (American and Israeli) squarely on the table as far as trustworthiness when it comes to officials in their acting capacities within U.S. government, irregardless of political party or administration. It was Netanyahu who recently (see article below) stated publicly, again, that 9/11 and the Iraq War were good in that they benefited Israel. For those who consider such talk as "anti-semitic", consider the article of Patrick Buchanan (an insider conservative who has served republican presidents) "Who's War?", and his response to the same libel that is used to dismiss legitimate criticism about the neoconservatives:

This spying is treason! It was not that long ago that we heard about Larry Franklin, haunting the neoconservatives' Office of Special Plans (created to circumvent CIA and other intelligence to justify war), whom the FBI indicted and convicted. An article "Israeli Spying: The Mother of all Scandals", summarized his case this way:

Two years into an investigation of AIPAC’s possible role as a spy front for Israel, Larry Franklin, a mid-level Pentagon Analyst is observed by the FBI giving classified information to two officials of AIPAC suspected of being Israeli spies. AIPAC hires lawyer Nathan Lewin to handle their legal defense, the same lawyer who defended suspected Israeli spy Stephen Bryen in 1978.

Larry Franklin worked in the Pentagon Office of Special Plans, run by Richard Perle, at the time Perle (who was caught giving classified information to Israel back in 1970) was insisting that Iraq was crawling with weapons of mass destruction requiring the United States to invade and conquer Iraq.

Pollard is hardly the only Israeli spy operating in the United States. He just had the misfortune to get caught. Here are just a few examples of the Israeli spy operations that have been detected.

1947. Information collected by the ADL in its spy operations on US citizens is used by the House Select Committee on Unamerican Activities. Subcommittee Chair Clare Hoffman dismisses the ADL’s reports on suspected communists as “hearsay."

1950 John Davitt, former chief of the Justice Department's internal security section notes that the Israeli intelligence service is the second most active in the United States after the Soviets.

1954 A hidden microphone planted by the Israelis is discovered in the Office of the US Ambassador in Tel Aviv.

1956 Telephone taps are found connected to two telephones in the residence of the US military attaché in Tel Aviv.

1954 "The Lavon Affair". Israeli agents recruit Egyptian citizens of Jewish descent to bomb Western targets in Egypt, and plant evidence to frame Arabs, in an apparent attempt to upset US-Egyptian relations. Israeli defense minister Pinchas Lavon is eventually removed from office, though many think real responsibility lay with David Ben-Gurion.

1965 Israel apparently illegally obtains enriched uranium from NUMEC Corporation. (Washington Post, 6/5/86, Charles R. Babcock, "US an Intelligence Target of the Israelis, Officials Say.")

1967 Israel attacks the USS Liberty, an intelligence gathering vessel flying a US flag, killing 34 crew members. See "Assault on the Liberty," by James M. Ennes, Jr. (Random House). In 2004, Captain Ward Boston, Senior Legal Counsel for the Navy’s Court of Inquiry into the attack swears under oath that President Lyndon Johnson ordered the investigation to conclude accident, even though the evidence indicates the attack was deliberate. Given the use by Israel of unmarked boats and planes, and the machine-gunning of USS Liberty’s lifeboats, the most likely explanation is that USS Liberty was to be sunk with all hands, with evidence left to frame Egypt for the sinking. This would have dragged the US into the war on Israel’s side.

1970 While working for Senator Henry “Scoop” Jackson, Richard Perle is caught by the FBI giving classified information to Israel. Nothing is done.

1978, Stephen Bryen, then a Senate Foreign Relations Committee staffer, is overheard in a DC hotel offering confidential documents to top Israeli military officials. Bryen obtains a lawyer, Nathan Lewin, and the case heads for the grand jury, but is mysteriously dropped. Bryen later goes to work for Richard Perle.

1979 Shin Beth [the Israeli internal security agency] tries to penetrate the US Consulate General in Jerusalem through a “Honey Trap”, using a clerical employee who was having an affair with a Jerusalem girl.

1985 The New York Times reports the FBI is aware of at least a dozen incidents in which American officials transferred classified information to the Israelis, quoting [former Assistant Director of the F.B.I.] Mr. [Raymond] Wannal. The Justice Department does not prosecute.

1985 Richard Smyth, the owner of MILCO, is indicted on charges of smuggling nuclear timing devices to Israel (Washington Post, 10/31/86).

1987 April 24 Wall Street Journal headline: "Role of Israel in Iran-Contra Scandal Won't be Explored in Detail by Panels"

1992 The Wall Street Journal reports that Israeli agents apparently tried to steal Recon Optical Inc's top-secret airborne spy-camera system.

1992 Stephen Bryen, caught offering confidential documents to Israel in 1978, is serving on board of the pro-Israeli Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs while continuing as a paid consultant -- with security clearance -- on exports of sensitive US technology.

1992 "The Samson Option," by Seymour M. Hersh reports, “Illicitly obtained intelligence was flying so voluminously from LAKAM into Israeli intelligence that a special code name, JUMBO, was added to the security markings already on the documents. There were strict orders, Ari Ben-Menashe recalled: "Anything marked JUMBO was not supposed to be discussed with your American counterparts."

1993. The ADL is caught operating a massive spying operation on critics of Israel, Arab-Americans, the San Francisco Labor Council, ILWU Local 10, Oakland Educational Association, NAACP, Irish Northern Aid, International Indian Treaty Council, the Asian Law Caucus and the San Francisco police. Data collected was sent to Israel and in some cases to South Africa. Pressure from Jewish organizations forces the city to drop the criminal case, but the ADL settles a civil lawsuit for an undisclosed sum of cash.

1995 The Defense Investigative Service circulates a memo warning US military contractors that "Israel aggressively collects [US] military and industrial technology." The report stated that Israel obtains information using "ethnic targeting, financial aggrandizement, and identification and exploitation of individual frailties" of US citizens.

1996 A General Accounting Office report "Defense Industrial Security: Weaknesses in US Security Arrangements With Foreign-Owned Defense Contractors" found that according to intelligence sources "Country A" (identified by intelligence sources as Israel, Washington Times, 2/22/96) "conducts the most aggressive espionage operation against the United States of any US ally." The Jerusalem Post (8/30/96) quoted the report, "Classified military information and sensitive military technologies are high-priority targets for the intelligence agencies of this country." The report described "An espionage operation run by the intelligence organization responsible for collecting scientific and technologic information for [Israel] paid a US government employee to obtain US classified military intelligence documents." The Washington Report on Middle East Affairs (Shawn L. Twing, April 1996) noted that this was "a reference to the 1985 arrest of Jonathan Pollard, a civilian US naval intelligence analyst who provided Israel's LAKAM [Office of Special Tasks] espionage agency an estimated 800,000 pages of classified US intelligence information."

The GAO report also noted that "Several citizens of [Israel] were caught in the United States stealing sensitive technology used in manufacturing artillery gun tubes."

1996 An Office of Naval Intelligence document, "Worldwide Challenges to Naval Strike Warfare" reported that "US technology has been acquired [by China] through Israel in the form of the Lavi fighter and possibly SAM [surface-to-air] missile technology." Jane's Defense Weekly (2/28/96) noted that "until now, the intelligence community has not openly confirmed the transfer of US technology [via Israel] to China." The report noted that this "represents a dramatic step forward for Chinese military aviation." (Flight International, 3/13/96)

1997 An Army mechanical engineer, David A. Tenenbaum, "inadvertently" gives classified military information on missile systems and armored vehicles to Israeli officials (New York Times, 2/20/97).

1997 The Washington Post reports US intelligence has intercepted a conversation in which two Israeli officials had discussed the possibility of getting a confidential letter that then-Secretary of State Warren Christopher had written to Palestinian leader Yasir Arafat. One of the Israelis, identified only as “Dov”, had commented that they may get the letter from "Mega”, the code name for Israel’s top agent inside the United States.

1997 US ambassador to Israel, Martin Indyk, complains privately to the Israeli government about heavy-handed surveillance by Israeli intelligence agents.

1997 Israeli agents place a tap on Monica Lewinsky’s phone at the Watergate and record phone sex sessions between her and President Bill Clinton. The Ken Starr report confirms that Clinton warned Lewinsky their conversations were being taped and ended the affair. At the same time, the FBI’s hunt for “Mega” is called off.

2001 It is discovered that US drug agents’ communications have been penetrated. Suspicion falls on two companies, AMDOCS and Comverse Infosys, both owned by Israelis. AMDOCS generates billing data for most US phone companies and is able to provide detailed logs of who is talking to whom. Comverse Infosys builds the tapping equipment used by law enforcement to eavesdrop on all American telephone calls, but suspicion forms that Comverse, which gets half of its research and development budget from the Israeli government, has built a back door into the system that is being exploited by Israeli intelligence and that the information gleaned on US drug interdiction efforts is finding its way to drug smugglers. The investigation by the FBI leads to the exposure of the largest foreign spy ring ever uncovered inside the United States, operated by Israel. Half of the suspected spies have been arrested when 9-11 happens. On 9-11, 5 Israelis are arrested for dancing and cheering while the World Trade Towers collapse. Supposedly employed by Urban Moving Systems, the Israelis are caught with multiple passports and a lot of cash. Two of them are later revealed to be Mossad. As witness reports track the activity of the Israelis, it emerges that they were seen at Liberty Park at the time of the first impact, suggesting a foreknowledge of what was to come. The Israelis are interrogated, and then eventually sent back to Israel. The owner of the moving company used as a cover by the Mossad agents abandons his business and flees to Israel. The United States Government then classifies all of the evidence related to the Israeli agents and their connections to 9-11. All of this is reported to the public via a four part story on Fox News by Carl Cameron. Pressure from Jewish groups, primarily AIPAC, forces Fox News to remove the story from their website. Two hours prior to the 9-11 attacks, Odigo, an Israeli company with offices just a few blocks from the World Trade Towers, receives an advance warning via the internet. The manager of the New York Office provides the FBI with the IP address of the sender of the message, but the FBI does not follow up.

2001 The FBI is investigating 5 Israeli moving companies as possible fronts for Israeli intelligence.

2001 JDL’s Irv Rubin arrested for planning to bomb a US Congressman. He dies before he can be brought to trial.

2002 The DEA issues a report that Israeli spies, posing as art students, have been trying to penetrate US Government offices.

2002 police near the Whidbey Island Naval Air Station in southern Washington State stop a suspicious truck and detain two Israelis, one of whom is illegally in the United States. The two men were driving at high speed in a Ryder rental truck, which they claimed had been used to "deliver furniture." The next day, police discovered traces of TNT and RDX military-grade plastic explosives inside the passenger cabin and on the steering wheel of the vehicle. The FBI then announces that the tests that showed explosives were “false positived” by cigarette smoke, a claim test experts say is ridiculous. Based on an alibi provided by a woman, the case is closed and the Israelis are handed over to INS to be sent back to Israel. One week later, the woman who provided the alibi vanishes.

2003 The Police Chief of Cloudcroft stops a truck speeding through a school zone. The drivers turn out to be Israelis with expired passports. Claiming to be movers, the truck contains junk furniture and several boxes. The Israelis are handed over to immigration. The contents of the boxers are not revealed to the public.

2003 Israel deploys assassination squads into other countries, including the United States. The US Government does not protest.

2004 Police near the Nuclear Fuel Services plant in Tennessee stop a truck after a three mile chase, during which the driver throws a bottle containing a strange liquid from the cab. The drivers turn out to be Israelis using fake Ids. The FBI refuses to investigate and the Israelis are released.

2004 Two Israelis try to enter Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, home to eight Trident submarines. The truck tests positive for explosives.
