Action Alert: Urge Senate to Oppose "Thought Crimes" Act called "Homegrown Terrorism"

"First they came for the terrorists and Islamic extremists,

This relates directly to the same propagandized "Home Grown Terrorism" legislation referred to in our previous article below. (Please read the previous article first to understand the dangerous nature of this Inquisitional legislation that no one is paying attention to). The Senate version of the same bill, shown below which already passed by a landslide by our naive and easily manipulated House of Representatives (including all of West Virginia's representatives of both parties), will be notated as S.R. 1959 being crafted by none other than Joseph Lieberman (I-Israel). Note this correspondence from a John Birch Society action alert that urges action to prevent it. And remember, for those who are blindly partisan, that a Democratic administration could otherwise use the same to persecute dissent from Republicans, or visa versa. The Constitution provides the best means of defending everyone's rights from government tyranny from any side, ideology or political party.

House Passes "Thought Crimes" Act

Title: Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007

Bill Summary:


According to supporters, the measure will play an important role in helping government and law enforcement officials understand and prevent domestic terrorism. In a speech on the House floor advocating passage of the bill, Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) -- the coauthor and initial sponsor of the measure -- warned that the next time the U.S. faces a terrorist threat, "my assumption is that many who attack us will already be here, and some will be US citizens." To prevent that attack, she said, the new "legislation will help the nation develop a better understanding of the forces that lead to homegrown terrorism, and the steps we can take to stop it."

Critics of the measure allege that it is a thinly veiled and dangerous attempt to criminalize dissent. Such concern is based on the bill's vague and open-ended language that, critics say, could be used by the government to trample basic rights to free speech and assembly and turn legitimate dissent into thought crimes.

The legislation, for instance, defines "violent radicalization" as "the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change." The bill makes no attempt to define what an "extremist belief system" might be. Nor does it define the action of "facilitating ideologically based violence."

In its section on key findings related to homegrown terrorism, the measure gives lip-service to constitutional rights, but also singles out the Internet and its open market for the flow of ideas and information as part of the problem. According to the measure, "The Internet has aided in facilitating violent radicalization, ideologically based violence, and the homegrown terrorism process in the United States by providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens."

The unspoken threat implied by that passage is that the government might have to clamp down on free speech online. "At base," wrote retired Col. Dan Smith in Counterpunch, "Harman's proposal seems to be a direct attack on First Amendment rights."

Bill Status:

H.R. 1955 passed the House by a landslide vote of 404-6 on October 23, 2007 (Roll Call Vote 993). The bill has been received by the Senate and was referred to the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs.

Our Position:

The John Birch Society opposes the passage of vaguely worded legislation that could lead federal agencies to arbitrarily define some modes of thought as one or more varieties of "extremist belief systems." In the 18th Century, the British government of King George III certainly believed as much about the manner of thought adopted by America's Founding Fathers. The John Birch Society believes the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act will have a substantial chilling effect on both free speech and thought and that the Senate should reject the measure.

This warning makes many good and sober points, and shows that "hate crime" legislation is just the precursor of this bill which passed the House and Joseph Lieberman (note that) is crafting for the Senate, and that the Jewish ADL lobbyists are the ones driving this Inquisitional agenda. It also demonstrates the ADL influence on the FBI's training, and the FBI's direct involvement in "entrappment" schemes that then become "terrorist" news.

IN SEARCH OF 'HOMEGROWN TERRORISTS'

The House of Representatives passed H.R. 1955 on Oct. 24, approving the creation of a federal commission to study prevention of "home-grown terrorism." The bill says this threat, leading to acts of violence against the US government and its citizens, pervades the internet and streams its propaganda incessantly to Americans. This bill will supposedly prevent Americans from being enticed by "extremism" and "radicalized" to commit bias-motivated violence. H. R. 1955 implies that the government should proactively educate the public against "extremist" individuals and organizations, until their threat is "eradicated."

H. R. 1955 includes as "homegrown terrorists" foreign conspirators who primarily live and operate in the US. Yet they are not its main concern. On the surface, this bill opposes radicalization of Muslims living in America (probably from terrorist websites originating in the Mideast). But there is little evidence that many American Muslims are dangerously influenced by such propaganda.

What's the real target of this thought control bill? Hundreds of thousands of Americans are daily influenced to think critically about Zionist control and influence by a number of internet radio networks, including Genesis and Republic. H.R. 1955 is an attempt to silence burgeoning anti-Zionist talk radio, which streams worldwide in ever-increasing competition to Jewish media.

Who "Radicalizes" America?

I wanted to learn more about the "serious national problem" which prompted action from all but six House members and preoccupies Senate hearings. I called the FBI to ask their definition of a "homegrown terrorist." FBI's authority on domestic terrorism in the Portland, OR office said she was unfamiliar with the term. She thought a moment and suggested the Oklahoma City bombers and also eco-terrorists who sabotage logging operations and commercial developments in wilderness areas. She could think of no other examples.

"Why not call your House member and ask?" she suggested. "Maybe Congress was given information the rest of us don't have."

I called my congressman, Earl Blumenauer, D-Oregon. His staffer cited six immigrants of Yugoslav and Mid-East origin who conspired to blow up Ft. Dix in Texas and also Muslims in England, such as the Arab doctors who tried to bomb the Glasgow airport last summer.

"These aren't 'homegrown.' I objected, "They were immigrants living in the countries they attempt to sabotage."

Blumenauer's staffer couldn't think of any terrorists who were truly homegrown in the United States. He said, however, that Rep. Blumenauer voted for the bill so that those who might incite bias-motivated violence and sabotage could be studied and prevented from influencing others.

Gonzales, Mueller Identify "Homegrown Terrorists"

The closest I came to an accurate description of bona fide homegrown terrorists was from former US Attorney General Alberto Gonzales and FBI director Richard Mueller.

Last year Gonzalez said seven Black Muslim jihadists, five of whom were American-born, plotted to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago and were "home-grown terrorists." Yet Gonzales also admitted these seven were only "aspirational" (wannabe terrorists). They had no ties to Al Qaeda. Five were of Haitian descent, born in the US, while two had emigrated from Haiti. The group members were poor and mostly unemployed. They frequently sat in a warehouse (secretly rented for them by the FBI) to smoke marijuana and ostensibly plan their sequel to 9/11.

For most of the year two FBI informants penetrated the group, posing as Al Qaeda contacts, and supplied them with money, cars, surveillance cameras, boots, etc. in hope of being led to other terrorist groups. That hope was not realized.

Legal defense of these indigents said they had no explosives. They merely played along with conspiratorial talk stimulated by the FBI in order to keep receiving money and benefits from what they thought was an Al Qaeda gravy train. (See, Wikipedia story of bomb plot)

On the day these "terrorists" were arrested, FBI director Mueller gave an ominous speech about "The Threat of Homegrown Terrorists." He said such individuals are "radicalized" by propaganda from "extremist" websites. Mueller frequently speaks at Anti-Defamation League conferences; he praises ADL and accepts on face value their definitions and statistics. He said there are "between 5,000 to 6,000 extremist websites on the internet, encouraging extremists to initiate their own radicalization and to cultivate relationships with other like-minded persons." Both H.R. 1955 and Mueller frequently use the word "extremist" with no attempt to describe what it means. In contrast, ADL has been very specific about who "radicalizes" the unwary. This Jewish organization says believers who evangelize Jews, and anti-Zionists of the right, are predominant extremists that America must watch. ADL claims that religious exclusivity--and the call for Jews to repent and put faith in Christ--is an anti-Semitic threat to the soul of the Jewish people!

ADL, At It Again

Of course, ADL is behind this legislative solution in search of a problem. H.R. 1955 lays on the table of federal and national discussion a new catch-phrase of hate crimes ideology. Right now, no one knows exactly who is a "homegrown terrorist." That won't last long. ADL's strategy is to create new terms and definitions that wreak havoc with Christian civilization. Like all state and federal hate bills, H.R. 1955 contains generous invitation for non-governmental "experts" on terrorism and bias-crime (read ADL) to dominate this new federal commission within Chertoff's Department of Homeland Security.

A few years from now, ADL and Jewish media will be sure everyone knows what "homegrown terrorism" means. This bill starts with anti-Zionist talk radio, but soon the names of prominent evangelicals and organizations, such as Jews for Jesus and the Southern Baptist Convention, will be added. This is because aggressive Christian-Jewish "proselytizers" strike terror in a Jewish community already reeling from massive loss of the next generation to intermarriage and assimilation. Already, ADL's Dept. of Global Anti-Semitism in the US State Department says Bible-believing Christians are anti-Semitic for alleging Jewish leaders had Christ killed 2,000 years ago – a "terrifying" accusation. (See, The Real Motive Behind the 'Department of Global Anti-Semitism') Under ADL's federal hate law in Canada, that historical assertion is now a hate crime. It can be punished by a fine of at least $5,000 and prison if repeated. Certainly, those who question the accuracy of the six-million figure of the Holocaust will be added to the list of homegrown terrorists. Ernst Zundel was one of them, deported to Germany under the charge of being a "domestic terrorist."

On the floor of the Senate last month, Sen. Kennedy said that Americans who break a federal hate law are "domestic terrorists." Would this include the 11 Christians in Philadelphia arrested as hate criminals for violating Pennsylvania's ADL hate law by witnessing to homosexuals?

This legislation's potential victims include pro-lifers who attempt to "sabotage" abortion in America and "terrorize" abortionists, nurses, and women seeking abortion. It certainly includes those who criticize the state of Israel, ideological "terrorists" who weaken our trusted ally in the war on terror. Sooner rather than later, it will include pastors who instill terror in homosexuals by describing their "alternate lifestyle" as an "abomination." (Lev. 18:22)

Today, police must wait for physical crime before arresting, indicting and punishing. But H.R. 1955 is quintessential "thought crime" legislation, meant to investigate and punish people for ideas, not actions. In Canada, internet critics of federally protected groups may be indicted for merely making statements that are "likely" to incite hatred or contempt. Canada's government can thus punish "hate crimes" before they are committed! H.R. 1955, now before the Senate, reflects the same twisted mentality. ADL wants the government to investigate, vilify, and shut down groups who have not yet committed hate crimes!

We Can Stop This Frightening Legislation

But ADL, working behind the scenes, isn't the only one with power to influence this legislation. You and millions of patriots have even greater power! Together, we can create a storm of protest and avalanche our Senators with millions of calls this week. If we do, members of the Senate (particularly Republicans) will not dare to vote for it.

Sen. Lieberman says the Senate version, S.B. 1959, will be at least another week in his Homeland Security Subcommittee.

Call your Senators immediately. Tell them, "Please don't vote for S.B. 1959. Let the FBI keep investigating real terrorist threats. Don't make politically incorrect Americans who exercise free speech on the internet into 'homegrown terrorists!'"

Ron Paul's $4.2 Million November 5th Money Bomb

The neo-republicans should take note that this man's constitutional message is more popular than they think, and "remember, remember the 5th of November".

The strongest evidence that the republican party does not abide by the Constitution and has disenfranchised much of its Reagan base (via absolute and blind support of Bush's "war on terror" agenda) is evidenced in this "second tier" candidates' growing popularity.

Over 74 percent of Americans (per an ABC poll on network news tonight) say the country is going in the wrong direction. And people do not believe the Big Government democrat establishment has the answer either. The neocons "war on terror" is a Democratic Jihad to overthrow "regimes" for their "new middle east", outlined by the Project for the New American Century in September 2000, an entire year before 9/11. The second clear element is that it is also the justification for an overthrow of the Constitution domestically for a new Homeland Security government--a historical blueprint for fascism. Though the ramped and hyped "terrorist threat" is statistically microscopic this revolutionary agenda toward a police state has been rammed through Congress and pushed on the American people. Could it be that THIS is what 74 percent of Americans do not like or approve of? The potential for a presidential candidate who breaks from "staying the course", by these measures, is that he obviously has a greater chance of being elected if enough people hear of him.

The CFR neo-republicans and democrats will never break from the present course. Instead of attempting to silence him the republican establishment needs to pay attention to the irrefutable fact that people disenfranchised from their own party (Reagan- and paleo-conservatives) are attracted to his message of limited government and restrained foreign policy. But that is too reasonable for the willingly ignorant , "stay the course" republicans.

The Washington Post knew that they had to print something on such a newsworthy event. Not too bad an article, while however still using slang pejoratives to cast contributors as a small well-organized faction. Well, "money talks", and shows conviction. This will increase his fund raising further and people will now takes his positions seriously. There is no way this was done by "spammers". Maybe Don Surber has another "conspiracy theory" of how this one was done too! Tell us Don, was it "Nigerians for Ron Paul" that did this? Too bad Fred Thompson and Rudy "Godfather" Giuliani do not have an enthusiastic base outside of the "establishment". But watch and see too that serious business investors love the "free market" economics of Ron Paul. I predict now more of them will jump on the bandwagon (as George Will has) and his support, including financially, could grow exponentially by year's end.

The support for the positions of Ron Paul (to restore Constitutional rule of law and our freedoms, and against unjust wars) is very real, and the neocons' worst nightmare. Republicans should embrace someone who is restoring their former principles that the party would benefit greatly from.

U.S. Bombed Syria, Not Israel, says Jerusalem Post

Is this propaganda from an Israeli paper or true? If true then we should DEMAND an explanation to know why President (sic) Bush did not get on TV and tell the American people that "today, U.S. pilots bombed a Syrian facility which we believed was being constructed for nuclear enrichment projects". At least Reagan did this when we bombed Libya and Kadafi. But this was done IN STEALTH....WE HAD TO READ ABOUT IT IN A FOREIGN NEWSPAPER, which shows the media's absolute complicity in this censorship!

He did not even inform Congress, if this is true! An act of war on another country, Syria, is precisely what the secretive neocons (including Cheney) have been wanting. There is no proof to their allegation, which both Syria and North Korea disavowed (claim was N Korea had sent nuke equipment to Syria for constructing facility). THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS, which is why the story broke on Friday (news dump day)!

Another hypothesis, since I wondered why Israel (Jerusalem Post) would publish this, knowing American media would pick it up (then feed it to Matt Drudge), which they would KNOW the U.S. wanted to be kept a secret if true: Could this be retaliation against the U.S. government for charging and trying 2 AIPAC (Israeli lobby) agents for espionage? (See article just below this one). The dragging in Condi and the two neocons says "we will take you down with us". The timing of these two incidents (knowing how Israel coerces and defends its agents) is highly suspicious.

Israel and the JPost HAD TO KNOW THIS WOULD CAUSE TROUBLE FOR AMERICA. This is the kind of thing consistent with how Israel coerces policy, action, and control with U.S. government--i.e. hardball and virtual blackmailing threats.

Watch and see how the Bush administration responds to this, and a public statement should absolutely be forthcoming, and/or a Congressional investigation about a secret plan by the Bush administration to attack Syria, without Congressional notification, or even U.S. media or the people being informed.

AIPAC Agents Charged With Spying -- Rice and Neocons Subpoenaed

Look at how the media cover this story, "Rice Subpoenaed" the headline reads. That is NOT the story, only an article in it. Journalism 101 says you headline the main subject, not the peripheral subjects. Let's cut through the double talk on this article that treats Israel, AIPAC and the Israeli agents with kid gloves. Headline should read: "AIPAC Agents Charged With Spying -- Rice and Neocons Subpoenaed". Now that would sell newspapers!

Now the article goes on to say (listen to this), the lobbyist received information from a "now convicted Pentagon official and passed it on..." (why not name him?). That would be Larry Franklin, who was a "runner" from the Office of Special Plans, "spying" (collaborating) through Douglas Feith's office.

This article is designed to save Israel and AIPAC's arse from a second round of public humiliation. Look at the very special treatment of the "news" for AIPAC--the most powerful lobby and "agents of a foreign government", that virtually control Congress! (Only Kucinich and Ron Paul voted "no" on the recent bill to reprimand the UN for "singling out Israel" for UN violations. Welcome to the United States of Israel). You have to look so close to see the real story here. Notice that two major neocons--Richard Armitage and Paul Wolfowitz are not mentioned in headline either, just Rice--were also subpoenaed.
