Dashcams of Charleston Police Hi-Speed Chase, Shooting Deaths

Both officer and suspect shot by Charleston Police. The incident has raised great controversy about the justification for both a dangerous high speed chase (70 to 85 mph) as well as the shooting of an unarmed suspect and an officer.

Politically-Correct Hatred

It has become increasingly popular to speak with absolute contempt of religion, in particular Christianity, and the Bible (the most respected and distributed book of antiquity), especially in the context of public morality. Any historic laws or philosophers may be quoted from freely (no matter how unworthy of credit), but let anyone dare quote from this profound and historic Book and instantly the democratic mobs bristle and hurl abuse in hateful spite at the messenger. The present public controversies about homosexuality in particular have frequently accused Christians of "hating", as if those who accuse are lovers of professing Christians, or virtue and righteousness, in their calls for modern "justice", while casting down and trampling both the laws of nature and moral laws of God revealed in the Bible, abolishing virtually all historic mores of social decency. "Bible thumpers" has become the ridiculed great evil, and the good Book has become Verboten in a growing Social Fascism of Political-Correctness where "judge not" (as Jesus spoke, but also who commanded to "judge ye with righteous judgment") is misinterpreted and misapplied to condemn righteous standards by those who "call evil good, and good evil". Can't you feel the love of the condemning social revolutionaries against all those with any Christian profession or standards, who think that "judge not" does not apply to their camp of the New Sadducees of a politically-correct new Liberal Righteousness, who are not really tolerant in their own judgment, and seek even to persecute under color of their new laws and pending legislation?

But could it be, in part, a problem with modern Christianity that accounts for this too? Into this modern age it would be good to hear a just and forthright old sermon from a popular English preacher of yester-year, who spares neither Christian professors and pastors nor those who despise Christian truth, for which reasons it has become politically-correct and common to hate Christianity and the Bible, as if it had the "savor (or smell) of death" on it, instead of a "savor of life".

Manchin Stands Up For State's Rights vs. Federal Martial Law

Apparently in acting in capacity of the National Governor's Association, as second in leadership, Governor Manchin put his name to paper in defending States' Rights under the 10th Amendment of the Constitution to counter a usurping role of the Federal government and Pentagon during times of declared crisis.  This would also include governor's powers, versus federal, in response to a Swine Flu emergency:

A bipartisan pair of governors is opposing a new Defense Department proposal to handle natural and terrorism-related disasters, contending that a murky chain of command could lead to more problems than solutions.

Vermont Gov. Jim Douglas (R), chairman of the National Governors Association, and Vice Chairman Gov. Joe Manchin (D) of West Virginia penned a letter opposing the Pentagon proposal, which they said would hinder a state's effort to respond to a disaster.

Current law gives governors control over National Guard forces in their own states as well as any Guard units and Defense Department personnel imported from other states....

CATO--"Hate Crime" Laws Are Unconstitutional

"Hate crime" laws are "thought crime" laws, constitute "double jeopardy" (being tried twice for same crime), and violate the 1st and 14th (and also not mentioned, 10th) amendments of the Constitution, this scholar asserts. He also takes the ACLU to task since they ought to know better, and should lead the opposition.

The ADL (hypocrites who defame many) is behind "hate crimes" legislation, and is the powerful, private, special interest, propaganda agency to federal and local law enforcement (including FBI) and media, who are the sole self-appointed definers of public orthodoxy and what constitutes "hate" or "hate groups", even "terrorism" watch lists!

"Hate Crimes" laws could become the basis of a New American Inquisition, where a certain "orthodoxy" of thought, speech, religious or philosophical beliefs is upheld and requires punishment of all to the contrary.

Think about the danger of this! What about "liberty of conscience" and freedom of speech?

Blame the Fed and Government, not Free Markets: Author of 'Meltdown' Interviewed on 58 Live

Tom Woods does not mince words and puts the blame squarely on the Fed (Bernanke, Greenspan, et al) and the U.S. government (Congress) for the financial meltdown and the economic and banking crisis.

What is ironic is that Congressman Ron Paul's warnings and economic platform, ignored by the heavy-handed republican establishment during the primaries (and which no other republican candidate stood for), is now becoming popular and receiving the attention it deserves. Ron Paul in fact wrote the forward for Dr. Wood's book.

Civil War Days in Hurricane, West Virginia

It's that time of year again, to remember the so-called Civil War, actually the War of Northern Aggression, which expanded and centralized Federal power over the states, overthrowing the Constitution by a northern majority in Congress for a Democratic Despotism where "majority rules".

The event itself is great, tracing the historic battle of Scary Creek (where Confederates taught the Yankees a hard lesson), but the politically-correct spin (for victor's always write the history) always tries to glorify Abraham Lincoln (who was a tyrant and Great Consolidator--Walter Williams), as if this were a just war, instead of the beginning of imperialist Wars for Democracy on American soil, costing over 600,000 lives (greater than all other U.S. wars combined!), that preceded the latter world wars under the same pretense (see Pat Buchanan's book: "Churchill, Hitler, and the Unnecessary War" at the bookstore at bottom).

This year's event will have a replica of the first American submarine to sink an enemy ship, which was the Confederate States C.S.S. Hunley.
