Are Conservative Christians Stupid? We Don’t Need Another George W. Bush

UPDATE:  For any Christians or conservatives offended please consider this.  Here is more evidence that candidate Gov. Rick Perry is not a true Tea Party or Constitutional conservative, but another painted RINO flying "Christian" colors to capture the evangelical vote (which is too easily misled by superficial symbolic acts and rhetoric). Is conservative columnist Michelle Malkin a credible enough critic?

Earlier this week, Michelle Malkin went after Rick Perry over the human papillomavirus vaccine mandates he authorized as governor. Two days later, she followed up with a second scorching post, this time saying Perry was “soft on illegal immigration” and “prone to crony capitalism” — and that he “demonstrated Nanny State tendencies that are anathema to Tea Party core principles.”

Here is a timely article about the entry of Governor Rick Perry into the Republican race for President. This article's Christian and conservative writer is not the only one who smells something funny about the way Perry has chosen to launch his campaign (and his article proves he predicted his entry correctly), and how familiar it appears to the entry of a previous Texas governor, who put on a big Christian front in order to sell his pretended conservative credentials. Is not Rick Perry copy-catting the Karl Rove play-book in his launch? Will Constitutional or Tea Party conservatives fall for this trick again? Will the Tea Party or the social conservative electorate be neo-conned, again, by another "Christian" Texan? Hopefully, this will be a wake up call to check for evidence of RINO clothing before another huge mistake is made. Perry's recent "show" is alluded to which had all the gimmickry of a slick Televangelist to it. If anyone believes that Perry would lead a "Christian political revival" of America they are easily deceived and truly naive. Ask yourself, first, if you would buy another car from the last used car salesman that sold you a lemon, even though polished and presented in fresh paint.

We Don’t Need Another George W. Bush

As a fellow Texan, it was not lost on Rick Perry how George W. Bush obtained the Republican nomination–and eventually the White House. In short, Rick Perry is going to use the G.W. Bush model to win a Presidential election.

Think about it: G.W. Bush won the White House after an extremely unpopular liberal Democrat had been President. Barack Obama’s popularity is even lower than Bill Clinton’s was–and Clinton was only the second President in US history to ever be impeached! Bush’s campaign boss, Karl Rove, brilliantly painted G.W. Bush as being a wholesome “born again Christian,” which played very well with a Christian electorate that was tired of being embarrassed by a lying, philandering reprobate living in the White House...

....Billed as “A Day of Prayer and Fasting,” the event solidified Perry’s preferred status among evangelical Christians. With the help of the American Family Association (which reportedly contributed up to a million dollars to the event), James Dobson’s Focus on the Family, and Cornerstone Church’s (San Antonio) Pastor John Hagee, Perry is all but assured of cornering the “born again” vote, just as G.W. Bush did in 2000.

...For the record, I invite anyone out there who still labors under the delusion that George W. Bush presided over some kind of “born again” Christian administration to check out the vast amounts of information I have compiled on my web site that exposes Bush as being just another big government elitist, who did as much (or more) to strip America of its God-given liberties as any other President in history. See the record here.

..Of course, G.W. Bush was never held accountable by evangelical Christian voters for his unconstitutional conduct. All they cared about was Bush’s Christian rhetoric. And it does appear that is all they care about today. As a result, Rick Perry will prove to be a formidable candidate in the GOP primaries.

I have said over and over again that I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States! The pious rhetoric of political candidates means nothing!
