Homegrown Fascism Begins 5/11: Non-REAL ID Citizens to be Treated Like Suspects

"This and no other is the root from which a tyrant springs; when he first appears he is a protector."

- Plato

This "homegrown fascism" begins May 11th at an airport near you. After all, "membership has its privileges" and you must be a federally-approved citizen and accept the Federal "mark" to be treated like you are "free".

The new extra-constitutional Dept. of Homeland Tyranny (aka "Security") plans to "make an example" of the citizens of Maine and New Hampshire for their states' (absolutely justifiable) rejection of REAL ID. TSA will be their deployed mercenaries to harass law-abiding free citizens for their nullification of this federal legislation. What they want by this of course is for remaining state legislators and governors to be fearful of their alleged power and "consequences", and while complaining bitterly, to even reluctantly comply, as the cowardly House of Representatives in Utah just did. For a better example people should consider the open and righteous "rebellion" of the Governor and legislature of Montana (per previous article).

There should be open and public protests and lawsuits filed to stop this second-class citizen "handling", and states should join together, as republicans and democrats are together against REAL ID within the states, in securing their states' and citizens' rights by suing it out in federal court. Citizens from states that reject REAL ID should be treated as full-fledged and free citizens of the United States rather than denying, harassing, or withholding freedom of travel and government services. The federal government is outside the law when it denies citizens and states their rights, and the Constitution has not been amended otherwise.

Both REAL ID and the Dept of Homeland Security should be rescinded and abolished, being contrary to the Constitution, if Americans expect to be free indeed. It is impossible to "defend freedom" while erecting tyranny.

Rejecting REAL ID Could Mean Stiffer Security At Airports

New Hampshire, Maine Travelers May Face Secondary Security Checks
Starting on May 11, the federal government will be enforcing the REAL ID program, a set of strict rules surrounding the issuing of photo identification, such as driver's licenses. While 45 states have agreed to go along with the program, New Hampshire and Maine are among those who haven't.Residents of states that don't comply may find themselves the focus of a second screening at airports.
"Secondary screening means you'll be pulled aside for a pat down and your bags will be opened before you can get on board the aircraft," said Mark Brewer, director of Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.
Because New Hampshire has not joined REAL ID, Granite State residents will need to show a military ID or passport to avoid the second security search. Residents said they weren't happy to have to go through the additional step.
Line At Airport
A state senator in Maine (the first state to refuse REAL ID) makes a compelling argument how REAL ID would not prevent terrorism and is a burden to the people.

INFRAGARD: FBI Deputizes Business for Martial Law

Including "shoot to kill" during Martial Law. This is a direct copy of the KGB-citizen-business spy network, now in Amerika. Doing this increases both paranoia and super-patriot fantasy that is quick to mark people or groups as suspicious, especially dissenters of various sorts. Deputizing big business in particular means that "some are more equal than others" (Orwell, Animal Farm), where "Membership has its privileges".

"Protect the Homeland". Sieg Heil! The increasing elements of fascism are plainly evident here and should alarm and awaken the public.

Exclusive! The FBI Deputizes Business

Infragard
Today, more than 23,000 representatives of private industry are working quietly with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security. The members of this rapidly growing group, called InfraGard, receive secret warnings of terrorist threats before the public doesand, at least on one occasion, before elected officials. In return, they provide information to the government, which alarms the ACLU. But there may be more to it than that. One business executive, who showed me his InfraGard card, told me they have permission to “shoot to kill” in the event of martial law.

InfraGard is “a child of the FBI,” says Michael Hershman, the chairman of the advisory board of the InfraGard National Members Alliance and CEO of the Fairfax Group, an international consulting firm.
“At its most basic level, InfraGard is a partnership between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the private sector,”

U.S.-Canadian Military Pact for "Civil Emergency" Revealed

Posse comitatus forbids the use of military for domestic policing, but no matter as secret plans like this continue to form, without the consent of the governed, either in Canada or the U.S.. It is consistent with the secretive plan for a North American Union.

Why all this preparation, really? Clearly something is envisioned. The idea of foreign troops invading either country to help is concerning.

Canada-U.S. pact allows cross-border military activity

Deal allows either country to send troops across the other's border to deal with an emergency

Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other's borders during an emergency, but some are questioning why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal.

Neither the Canadian government nor the Canadian Forces announced the new agreement, which was signed Feb. 14 in Texas.

The U.S. military's Northern Command, however, publicized the agreement with a statement outlining how its top officer, Gen. Gene Renuart, and Canadian Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais, head of Canada Command, signed the plan, which allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation in a civil emergency.

in the U.S. it is being used as evidence of a plan for a "North American union" where foreign troops, not bound by U.S. laws, could be used

OBAMA UNCOVERED: A Citizen's Guide to Barack Obama

This article is worth reading in its entirety and shows just how naive most democrats are. Following the crowd led by enthusiasts is just how things are done in a society that worships "American Idol(s)". The people are so easily misled, and they love it.

"AIPAC approved" should tell you most of what you need to know. Why do you think neocons like William Kristol (founder Project for New American Century) and Bill Bennett speak highly of him? Of course Hillary was even being coached via the backdoor by Bush in order to continue the neoconservative war agenda.

READ IT and see what "change" means, and what it does not. Democrats should be as dissatisfied with their two candidates at large as traditional republicans are with McCain.

We Illinois progressives sent Obama to the U.S. Senate, where he promptly joined the Joe Lieberman wing of the Democratic Party. He’s not a progressive. But he’s a master at pretending to be one. “Obama
is a company man
.”

His economic advisers are very conservative, from the University of Chicago-Milton Friedman school of
economics. My favorite economist, Paul Krugman, caught Obama using right-wing talking points on what to do about Social Security and about his health care plan.

His voting record is pro-business and pro-war. He glorifies American imperialism. He flip-flopped on the Palestinians and Israel, and now is AIPAC-approved.

He misuses history, according to a prominent historian.

He, uh, stretches the truth.

His chief political adviser is a Daley machine strategist.

When are we Americans going to stop getting fooled and fooled and fooled again?

McCain's Ethics: From Keating Five to Iseman

McCain has a pattern of unethical operations on behalf of favored lobbyists while feigning to be a policeman for good government against corruption.

This is why he is entirely untrustworthy and why his public image as a reputable maverick is without merit.

Spotlight on McCain turns hot

The New York Times used the anecdote about Iseman as entree into a recitation of McCain's involvement in the "Keating Five" scandal and other previously reported controversies.

The Keating Five uproar of the late 1980s had to do with whether McCain and four other senators, including then-Sen. Dennis DeConcini, D-Ariz., had tried to pressure federal savings-andloan regulators in behalf of political benefactor Charles Keating Jr., who later was convicted of fraud. The Senate Ethics Committee ultimately concluded that McCain showed "poor judgment" in the matter.

McCain has said the hard lessons learned from the Keating fiasco helped him become the good-government crusader that emerged in the 1990s and led to enactment of the McCain-Feingold campaign-finance reform law of 2002.

But the Keating Five also gave McCain crisis-management experience that was on display Thursday.

McCain and Lobbyist Vicki Iseman; Affair, Ethics Breach, or Both?

She appears to have leveraged his support for her clients in a way that special favors were evident, even out of bounds for a Senator from which her clients directly benefited.

Most have forgotten about the Keating Five scandal of which McCain was a part, a gross ethical violation that should have banished McCain earlier from any Presidential consideration.

Vicki Iseman: Who Is McCain Scandal Figure?

On Wednesday night, an otherwise obscure telecommunications lobbyist by the name of Vicki Iseman was thrust into the media and campaign spotlight, after a New York Times story suggested that she and Sen. John McCain had a close relationship that may have been romantic.

Convinced the relationship had become romantic, some of his top advisers intervened to protect the candidate from himself -- instructing staff members to block the woman's access, privately warning her away and repeatedly confronting him, several people involved in the campaign said on the condition of anonymity.

When news organizations reported that Mr. McCain had written letters to government regulators on behalf of the lobbyist's client, the former campaign associates said, some aides feared for a time that attention would fall on her involvement.

War Heroes ? Bush 41 and McCain in New Light

Great article from Online Journal below questions George H W Bush s endorsement of McCain and his war hero status.

It is high time to bust public perception, the 'swift-boating' of both is already in the works, just as it was with John Kerry. Perception is not reality, and Americans' gullibility must come to an end. Public trust is at stake, and wanting.

The New York Times tells us Former President Bush Backs McCain in “a
President’s Day endorsement.”

In fact, “Mr. Bush wore a blue necktie with a pattern of
little aircraft carriers running across it, and Mr. McCain noted that he and
the former president had two things in common. ‘One is that we were both naval
aviators, and the other is that we were both shot down,’ he said."

But perhaps Mr. McCain was not aware of that ugly tale from
airmen at that WW II scene when Poppy, the pilot, parachuted from his hit
Avenger torpedo bomber into the water. The plane was built to land on water,
but Bush did not choose that option. So the plane spiraled out of control and
crashed. The two-man crew who did not have parachutes went to sleep with the
fishes. Poppy went back to the carrier to write home to mom, upset.

Bush 41: "Read My Lips", McCain is True Conservative

Both Bush 41 and 43 have now have supported McCain (see previous article below), while republicans protest McCain. As we mentioned before, there is little difference between McCain and GWB or GHWB in substance, but republicans have never complained before. Just more evidence that republican party is destroyed, has no firm principles. The neocons, building largely around a blueprint for "global hegemony", and domestic Security State, under a pretense of a "war on terrorism", have seized control.

It is no longer just Ron Paul supporters that feel disenfranchised from broken platform that claims to hold to limited, constitutional government, and defense of individual liberty. Now mainstream republicans are talking about not voting, or going independent--something considered a political blasphemy until now.
What goes around....

Meanwhile Vietnam Vets Against McCain has begun a new "Swift Boat" campaign, challenging McCain's record as a "hero", much like the campaign against John Kerry.

Former President Bush: Attacks on McCain's record 'absurd'

art.bush.gi.jpg

HOUSTON, Texas (CNN) -- Former President Bush endorsed John McCain on Monday and defended the conservative record of the Republican Party's presumptive presidential nominee.

"At this critical time in history ... the United States of America cannot be allowed to falter," the 41st president said in Houston, Texas. "No one is better to lead our nation in these trying times than Senator John McCain.

"I believe now is the right time for me to help John in his effort to start building the broad-based coalition it'll take for our conservative values to carry the White House this fall," the former president said.

Bush said the criticism of McCain's record by some conservatives was "absurd" and "grossly unfair."

"He's got a record that everybody can analyze in the Senate, a sound, conservative record, and yet he's not above reaching out to the other side," he said.

Facts behind Sunset of Protect America Act; Byrd was Right, Rockefeller Wrong

Good summary here of what just happened: Constitution 1, Bush Government 0.
The best quote is from none other than Senator Byrd, who also puts perspective on it, and unlike Rockefeller (who should now be opposed by Democrats in West Virginia), voted against continuing the anti-constitutional surveillance powers. House leader Pelosi for once was right on the mark, and the Constitution defended, to the people's benefit. Why is the Constitution so often neglected instead of defended like this?

Defending the Constitution and individual liberty is both a duty and part of the republican platform, yet many republicans continue to bow to the tyrant's plea of "necessity". For a republican Constitutional analysis of the Protect America Act see the article here.

“The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

Quote of the Day:

"Is it any wonder why the approval ratings of the Congress go up every time we go into recess?"
-- Sen. Robert C. Byrd (Democrat West Virginia)

Subject: Victory at sunset

Downsizers sent 47,034 messages to Congress about the so-called "Protect America Act" (PAA). Most of these messages asked Congress to repeal PAA or allow it to sunset.

Three days ago, on Wednesday, we wrote to tell you that the Senate had done the exact opposite of what you requested.
  • They did not repeal PAA.
  • They did not allow it to sunset.
  • They did not pass the amendments we requested that would have made the replacement for PAA less bad.
  • Instead, they passed a bill permitting warrantless spying on Americans, and granting immunity to the telecommunications companies that had previously spied on Americans. But . . .
We asked you to hit Congress once again, specifically asking the House to not do as the Senate had done.
  • We got what we wanted.
  • The Democrats in the House finally showed some backbone.
  • They refused to take action on a replacement for PAA.
  • This means that PAA sunsetted out of existence at midnight on Friday.
Victory at sunset!

Speaker Pelosi also had some good things to say as she announced the sunset of PAA. She pointed out that the government still retains all the powers it needs to spy on suspected terrorists under the old FISA law, which remains in place. She also talked about the need for the government, and the telecommunications companies, to operate under the rule of law.

You see, Congress may mostly do bad things, but not always. It's important to understand that we can never expect them to do the right thing if we don't tell them what we want. Your 47,034 messages to Congress were important in encouraging the House to do the right thing.

And other things we've done may also have contributed. Downsizers have also sent . . .
All of these messages have communicated to Congress that they must not destroy American freedoms for the sake of combating the threat of terrorism.

You are to be congratulated for the part you played in this outcome. But . . .

As the sun sets, it also rises, and there will certainly be attempts by some to restore warrantless spying and immunity for the telecommunications companies. We will have to remain vigilant. I am confident that we -- that you -- will do that.

Please send Congress a message praising the House for allowing PAA to sunset, and ask the Senate to forgo any further action on replacing PAA. You can send your message here.

Bush: McCain is "True Conservative", just like him

There you have it. While republicans complain (justly) about McCain, he is no different than Bush in substance, but we never heard that was a problem!

Neither were the other CFR republican candidates traditional conservatives, especially Giuliani (whom Senator Vic Sprouse supported), and neither was Romney (whom the GOP state chairman supported) or Huckabee (whom alot of naive christians supported). McCain will represent well the neoconservatives that republicans have refused to criticize during the Bush administration, for he still holds to the same unjust war radical ideology consistent with the Project for a New American Century for a "new middle east" and "global hegemony".

The neo-republicans then have no just basis for criticism since they abandoned and cast off traditional republican ideology for neoconservatism. In their criticism and ostracism of Ron Paul they have demonstrated their disdain for the Constitution, limited government, individual liberty, low taxation (failing to join to abolish the Income Tax, which would be the greatest economic incentive program in American history), and still prop-up the Paternal Security State while condemning the democratic socialists Nanny State--both of which destroy "individual liberty", the forgotten plank of the republican platform!

The West Virginia GOP party corrupted itself when it adopted, under pretext of 9/11, absolute, unconditional support for George W. Bush, particularly on foreign policy and economics (abandoning limited government for now a trillion dollar budget!), rather than the Constitution or the Christian principles of limited "just war" conditions.

Republicans need to stop whining about McCain unless they see and criticize the exact same pattern in George W. Bush and the entire neoconservative agenda. McCain is no principled republican conservative, but is in the image and likeness of Bush himself. Partisan loyalty and superficial labels are self-blinding to reality and republicans should wake up to these facts.

McCain a 'True Conservative,' Bush Says

WASHINGTON — John McCain is a "true conservative," President Bush says, although the likely Republican presidential nominee may have to work harder to convince other conservatives that he is one of their own.

McCain "is very strong on national defense," Bush said in an interview taped for airing on "Fox News Sunday." "He is tough fiscally. He believes the tax cuts ought to be permanent. He is pro-life. His principles are sound and solid as far as I'm concerned."

But when asked about criticism of McCain by conservative commentators Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter, the president said, "I think that if John is the nominee, he has got some convincing to do to convince people that he is a solid conservative and I'll be glad to help him if he is the nominee."

West Virginia GOP Convention Update--Most Conservative Candidate Ousted

The following recent articles, and a democratic blog commentary, update the West Virginia Republican Convention still in progress, since it yielded no initial winner, which requires over 50 percent of the vote. Note that MSNBC below offered better coverage of Ron Paul, the first candidate speaker, than local radio or TV.

GOP ESTABLISHMENT AND MEDIA COLLUDE TO OUST RON PAUL

If you wanted to hear any excerpts of the speech from the the most principled conservative republican that raised the most money in West Virginia--Ron Paul--you could not hear him via local radio since West Virginia Radio Corporation, both in their reporting and state wide radio with Hoppy Kercheval, blacked him out. But it was covered live apparently via internet (see link below). (Do recall that John Raese, Chief Executive of WV Radio, ran against Robert C. Byrd in the Senate, and is tied to the state party establishment). Media bias and deliberate interventionism by deciding who is interviewed and recorded on their website is blatant and obvious, especially since interviewing Ron Paul always increases ratings (the basis for ad revenues). Fearing to alienate their Christian listeners they included Huckabee probably as a "Christian" alternative to Romney's Mormonism (while neither candidate pass the conservative tests of the republican party planks based upon their respective records). This was the extent of their "balanced" coverage. On WCHS Charleston radio's 58Live yesterday (a local station in the network covering the state's capital) even the "moderate" Rick Johnson only mentioned "three" candidates and deliberately did not mention Ron Paul as a candidate for which delegates could vote for despite that he was the first confirmed speaker. This is typical of that program's views (disclaimed in its daily introduction as a part of West Virginia Radio Corp.) usually expressed only by the neocon sycophant Mike Agnello. Though West Virginians have a right to the public airwaves, and it is in the public interest to have a well informed electorate, West Virginia Radio Corporation decided to apparently collude with the GOP establishment to push particular candidates and eliminate Paul. Note also that McCain is even excluded in their coverage (see link above).

It is entirely possible that the stratagy of the establishment was to consolidate behind Romney in the first round in order to oust Ron Paul, which they did, and then permit McCain into the picture in the final voting without Paul. This is how the party collusion, in tandem with West Virginia Radio, appears to be working. The evidence of this is in the Charleston Gazette which stated that Thompson and Giuliani supporters were moving toward McCain, which was not evidenced in this intial vote. The strategy to oust Paul as a priority is evident, and worked. The outcome is pending.

PLAYGROUND "DEMOCRACY" AT WORK--PUBLIC ELECTORATE DISENFRANCHISED

Complaints by the republican electorate yesterday were numerous on talk radio expressing the largely held belief that they were disenfranchised by the establishment. The state GOP claimed they ran numerous ads in newspapers and thousands of emails, but listeners said they heard nothing, and the newspapers ran stories that showed 1,100 delegate nominees were still needed with only 5 days left before the deadline. (The last minute rush to fill delegates refutes the argument of heavy or timely advertising. The fact is the state GOP wanted to save money, and control the outcome, for a very profitable convention for them). Interestingly, Chairman McKinney's favored candidate (now that Don Surber and Vic Sprouse have lost their favorites of Fred Thompson and Giuliani, respectively), Mitt Romney, appears to be positioned to win as the establishment consolidates its power in this "winner take all" convention, which usurps 18 delegates from the republican electorate, largely uninformed, and unpersuaded. (Horse trading and vote pushing is hardly persuasion, but playground "democracy" of "majority rule").

There is no doubt that the republican establishment, rather than the electorate, with the help of West Virginia Radio Corporation (which virtually controls state-wide radio coverage in audience listenership), deliberately intervened and colluded to control the outcome to THEIR desire, sacrificing a truly informed general public in the process.

Breakdown of the West Virginia GOP Convention

Huntingtonnews.net has documented the what and how of the West Virginia republican convention for Super Tuesday.
Convention Countdown: Ron Paul Addresses Republicans First
Former Governor Roemer Campaigns for McCain; Romney Appearance Possible

Charleston, WV (HNN) – The Charleston Civic Center gears up today for events preceding the WV Republican Presidential Convention Tuesday.

Although the hybrid caucus / convention does not replace the Republican primary in May, it will allocate 18 of the state’s 27 delegates, rather than the previous ‘winner take all’ style of previous primaries.

Arizona Senator John McCain will send former Louisiana Governor Buddy Roemer to stump for him on Monday and Tuesday

Meanwhile, candidate Ron Paul will address the convention early Tuesday. His supporters will have a Hospitality Suite set up in the Hawk’s Nest Room (beside the White Water Grill) in the Marriott Hotel from 4-10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4.
The candidate will greet supporters from about 8:30 a.m. until a little before 9:30 a.m. Dr. Paul will deliver the first speech to the delegates at around 9:30 a.m.

West Virginia GOP First on Super Tuesday, Ron Paul to Speak First

West Virginia's republican convention will be first to announce its nomination results on Super Tuesday. Ron Paul is scheduled to speak first, yet the very bias 58Live hosts, Rick Johnson and Mike Agnello, give almost no mention of the most conservative candidate. Local media bias and fear of objective commentary about Ron Paul, a serious contender here, is sickening and contrary to the public interest of open and honest debate.

Most GOP Convention Delegates Up For Grabs
The four candidates hoping to grab 18 Republican delegates Tuesday include John McCain, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul.
Chairman Fish says the greatest thing about Tuesday’s convention is the message West Virginia Republicans will send to voters in more than 20 states who will be voting or caucusing as part of Super Tuesday.
More than half of the delegates at Tuesday's state Republican Presidential Convention are going into the event undecided.

Convention Chairman Bob Fish says 62 percent either declared uncommitted earlier or no longer have a candidate in the process. He says there will be 1,207 delegates in attendance.

"We will be the first state giving results on Super Tuesday," Fish said.

Surveillance cams vs. 9/11 official story. Bear in mind that a fabricated story of 9/11 amounts to criminal perjury, fraud, and conspiracy to deceive the American people, and its representatives in Congress. A "high crime", no misdemeanor.
