Iran: Cheney caught "fixing the intelligence around the policy"--again!

Yes Cheney is planning to pitch another "curve ball" on Iran's nuclear capability. This article, that has great inside sources (like a good scout), serves up the report on how this game will be played again, this time to justify war with Iran. This is precisely the same tactics he used with Iraq, so that Colin Powell could give "evidence of WMD" before the United Nations, and American people.

Will Americans believe the same lies again, from the same neoconservative cabal? Will the media report any different or again be complicit in speaking with one great electronic voice to sell another unjust war? Will republicans continue to permit the neoconservatives and their candidates (Giuliani, Romney, Thompson) who justify the same lies and propaganda to sway and control the already hijacked republican party? Does anyone care about the truth anymore, or is this just blatant PAX AMERICANA and global revolution for democratic world government like the imperialists of history?

No imperialist empire has ever survived as history proves. The very agenda of the neoconservatives for "benevolent global hegemony" by the U.S. is setting the stage for America's demise. Truly "Wisdom crieth aloud" saying "oh fools, when will you be wise"? "Pride cometh before the fall" is apparently forgotten, but the divine axiom will not be broken.

POLITICS-US:
Cheney Tried to Stifle Dissent in Iran NIE

Gareth Porter*
WASHINGTON, Nov 8 (IPS) - A National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iran has been held up for more than a year in an effort to force the intelligence community to remove dissenting judgments on the Iranian nuclear programme, and thus make the document more supportive of U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney's militarily aggressive policy toward Iran, according to accounts of the process provided by participants to two former Central Intelligence Agency officers.
But this pressure on intelligence analysts, obviously instigated by Cheney himself, has not produced a draft estimate without those dissenting views, these sources say. The White House has now apparently decided to release the unsatisfactory draft NIE, but without making its key findings public.
The White House wants a document that it can use as evidence for its Iran policy," says Giraldi.
